You need a free wallet app, but you won't buy anything, pay a fee, or send any money. The wallet is how 6529 knows who you are. It takes about 10 minutes.
The one rule to remember: 6529 will only ask you to sign a message. If your wallet ever asks you to send, approve, or pay anything, press Reject. That isn't part of entering.
Get it from metamask.io/download (the App Store or Google Play on a phone, or the Chrome/Brave/Firefox extension on a computer). Choose Create a new wallet and set a password.
Go to 6529.io/waves/c39f704b… (on 6529, a competition like this is called a "wave").
On a phone: open MetaMask, tap the Browser tab, and paste the link there. Connecting from inside the wallet's own browser is much smoother than bouncing between apps.
Tap Sign in to 6529 to post (or Connect Wallet at the top), choose MetaMask, and approve the connection.
Next your wallet shows a "Sign in to 6529" message. The page says "No transaction or gas fees." Press Sign.
If MetaMask asks to switch to the Ethereum network, say yes. Switching is free.
New wallets don't have a profile yet, so the site asks you to Create a profile. Pick a handle (your username) and a classification: Pseudonym if you go by an online name (like punk6529, XCOPY, or Pak), Government Name if you use your real name. Add a profile picture if you like. This is free too.
Go back to the El Memeño wave. In the message box at the bottom, switch from chat to making a drop (your competition entry), attach your file, add a title or caption, and press Drop.
Make a meme about El Niño: the heat, the floods, the drought, long-term climate change, getting ready. Remixes are welcome, but no copyrighted IP (movie stills, brand logos, song lyrics), so a winner can become a Meme Card.
Voting weight on 6529 comes from collecting The Memes cards (called TDH), so a brand-new wallet can enter but won't carry votes. Your job is to make something people with votes want to back. Late entries can still win.
